Rooted in Tucson, drawn to the desert

I love hiking, stargazing, and finding inspiration in the resilience and beauty of the Sonoran Desert.

After 20 years of professional experience in the nonprofit field, I brought that foundation into a new chapter — earning my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. Since 2024, I have worked in an intensive outpatient setting providing individual, group, and family therapy, specializing in trauma and addiction recovery. These experiences shape how I think about counseling; as an integrative, depth-oriented process that draws on many perspectives — including the transformative power of awe and meaning — to support you in the complexity of who you are.

MY APPROACH

Therapy as an experience,
not just a conversation

Drawing from evidence-based therapies, I tailor our work to what serves you best — whether through dialogue, mindfulness, imagery, EMDR, or body-based awareness. This includes working with practices of awe, spiritual meaning, and values-based reflection, tailored entirely to your worldview. Together, we find the path that resonates most with you.

  • You are the expert on your own life. Person-Centered therapy means I follow your lead — your pace, priorities, and goals. I hold space for the full complexity of your identity, including your faith, family background, cultural roots, and lived experience, recognizing that healing looks different for everyone.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process painful memories that feel stuck. Using bilateral stimulation — often guided eye movements — we gently work through experiences that continue to affect how you feel and function today.

  • Narrative Therapy invites you to examine the stories you've been told — or have told yourself — about who you are. Together, we explore where those stories came from and whether they still serve you, opening space for a more truthful and self-compassionate version of your life.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) offers concrete skills for managing difficult emotions, navigating relationships, and expanding your capacity for change.

  • Gestalt therapy brings awareness to the present moment — including what the body is holding — helping you connect thought, feeling, and sensation in ways that create real and lasting change.

There is a part of you that is ready to go deeper — to step across the threshold into a fuller understanding of yourself. I am honored to witness that journey.
