A woman is standing outdoors on a sunny day, raising her arms with her hands in a relaxed pose. She is wearing a white top and a black skirt, with rocks or boulders behind her in the background.

I am a trauma survivor and a trained mental health therapist. It is my life’s work to help others find their way to safety, freedom, and self-trust.

Your experience of complex trauma, CPTSD, or prolonged abuse doesn’t have to define who you are. Together, we'll work to loosen the grip of trauma so that you can live with more freedom, safety, and self-trust.

Clients come to me when:

They are tired of living in survival mode.

They want to stop feeling retraumatized or triggered by everyday encounters.

Rumination and self-doubt are standing in the way of the life they want for themselves.

Their story is difficult to look at, but they’re ready to move forward with the healing process.

They want to live fully in their values without fear.

Complex trauma, or prolonged abuse can leave you doubting yourself and your reality.

Threshold Counseling is a space to unpack the feelings that come with complex trauma or prolonged abuse and work through the experience so that you can find solid footing in yourself. Through this process, you will move toward a life rooted in safety, freedom, and self-trust.

How complex trauma and prolonged abuse therapy with me works

“In the body of the world, they say, there is a soul
and you are that.”

Getting Started with Therapy

1. Schedule a Consultation

I’ll ask you a little about your goals, and you’ll have a chance to ask me about my approach, process, and any other questions you have. There’s no cost, and obligation to move forward. This is where we feel each other out. Most consults are over a secure virtual connection, but in-person consultations are also available.

2. Intake Session

If we agree to work together, we will schedule a 90-minute intake session. This is so that I can get a deeper sense of your history, strengths, and challenges. We’ll work together to tailor a treatment plan just for you that addresses your goals. We’ll also determine a time and cadence for therapy sessions.

3. Therapy Sessions

Therapy takes place at a pace that is comfortable for you and based on your treatment plan. Most clients meet for 60 minutes once per week or biweekly. Therapy can be brief and solution-focused or tailored for more long-term growth and support. I also offer extended EMDR intensives for people who feel ready for intensive work.
