Integrative trauma therapy draws from different therapeutic approaches depending on your unique needs, experiences, and goals. Rather than following a rigid formula, therapy is collaborative and may include approaches such as EMDR, Narrative Therapy, DBT, experiential work, mindfulness, and deeper self-exploration. -
Yes. Many people seek therapy because they feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, or simply aware that something in life no longer feels sustainable. While trauma-informed care is foundational to my work, you do not need to identify with the word “trauma” to benefit from this work.
-
Therapy looks different with every provider, and sometimes the timing, relationship, or approach simply was not the right fit. My work is grounded in collaboration, curiosity, flexibility, and creating space for deeper exploration at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.
-
No. While past experiences may become part of therapy over time, there is no expectation that you share difficult experiences before you feel ready. While I may gently challenge you or invite exploration, I will always acknowledge that you are the expert in your own life and respect the pace that feels manageable and supportive for you.
-
The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of meaningful therapy. Feeling safe, understood, thoughtfully challenged, and able to be honest matters. If Threshold Counseling feels like a space that resonates with you, I welcome a conversation. If at any point it feels like we are not the right fit, I welcome that feedback and am happy to help connect you with a therapist who may better meet your needs.

People who resonate with this approach are often interested in deeper self-understanding, meaningful change, healthier relationships, and reconnecting with themselves in new ways. I work most frequently with people navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, identity concerns, relationship struggles, coping behaviors, or longstanding survival patterns.
